A Ronin is a Samurai without a master, a wanderer or rambler of sorts. Someone with a specific skillset that traveled and wandered varied terrain for days then powerfully got a job done with purpose. The practical and romantic nature of what a Ronin is, rang true with what the first Rogers signature model should be. A task specific yet adaptable road bike that is as comfortable with long days on the road as it is in a sprint finish. While there is not one frame that will rule them all, this bike believes in flexibility, as does Rogers. I set out to create a stable and fast handling road bike that is stiff when you want and comfortable when you need. Combining Columbus Select butted oversize tubing; a 44mm head tube, carbon tapered fork and room for up to 30mm tires the Ronin rides for flexibility. The flexibility is up to you wether to ride the tarmac, graze the gravel or lunge for the line. A bike that is happy to ramble with little intent or complete a task with intent, much the same as a Ronin.
The Low Down
The Ronin is built around flexibility and despite being a stock model, it shouldn’t diminish the options that a hand built frame has to offer.
Each frame is made to order and as such the options are up to you! So starting with a fine Columbus Italian tube set, The Ronin is carefully mitred and fillet brazed together in:
Four stock sizes 50, 52, 54, 56 (custom geometry +$250)
